Who we help

Built for anyone who needs to understand a vehicle's past before a deal - not just pretty listing photos.

US import

Before buying on Copart or IAAI, or shipping to another country - one VIN shows what the platform recorded.

Buying from a reseller

If the car is "from America" but the seller hides the auction - a VIN check often reveals salvage history.

Bidding at auction

Browse past lots by make and model in the catalog, or verify a specific VIN before bidding.

What you'll find in a card

We don't invent specs - we show what was in the source lot on the platform.

VIN and lot number

17-character VIN, Copart or IAAI lot number, make, model and year.

Auction photos

Gallery from the lot: body, impact zones, every angle the platform published.

Damage and mileage

Primary damage, runs/doesn't run, mileage and fuel type - as recorded.

Platform and location

Copart or IAAI, branch and sale location for context.

Prices from the lot

Buy Now, current bid, retail value and pre-accident price - no markup from us.

How we're different

Not a Carfax replacement

Carfax and AutoCheck charge for title history and service records. We show public Copart and IAAI lots for free: photos, damage codes, mileage and auction prices.

Not a sales listing

AllCarHistory doesn't sell cars or run auctions. We store archive records; you buy on Copart, IAAI or from a seller.

Salvage, total loss and rebuilt

Salvage - insurer deemed repair uneconomical. Total loss - written off. Rebuilt - repaired and re-registered. The archive shows condition at auction time, not after body shop work.

Copart and IAAI in one archive

Copart is the largest US salvage auction, IAAI (Insurance Auto Auctions) is second. We combined both: one VIN may appear on either platform at different times.

Check a VIN now

Enter a VIN or lot number on the homepage - the card opens if the record exists. Or browse the catalog by make and model.

Questions and answers

What are salvage title and rebuilt?
Salvage - insurer didn't consider repair worthwhile. Rebuilt - restored and re-registered. We show condition at auction, before reseller repairs.
How is AllCarHistory different from Carfax?
Carfax is a paid report with title chain and service history. We're a free Copart and IAAI lot archive with photos and prices. Enough to answer "was this VIN at a salvage auction".
Copart vs IAAI - what's the difference?
Both sell insurance and salvage vehicles in the US. Copart is larger, IAAI is second. Our archive has both - search by VIN, not by platform name.
How is the archive different from the platform?
Copart and IAAI run live auctions. We store history of past lots so you can find them by VIN months or years later, including in Russian.
Where does the data come from?
From public Copart and IAAI lot records. Each card reflects what was listed at archiving time.
Can a card be removed from the site?
Yes. The record owner can write to us by email - the address is at the bottom of every page. That applies only to AllCarHistory - we don't control other sources.
How to search with only make and model?
Open the catalog by make and model - a browse of saved lots, not live inventory. To verify a specific vehicle you need the VIN or lot number.
